History ... as of 2008 Marowak Records was originally formed in 2001 but most of its action took place between 2004-2007. In 2004 Marowak signed a Brighton band by the name of Nothing who over two years released 3 limited edition eps.  These eps all picked up national airplay and press and sold well. During this time Marowak Records started promoting gigs in Brighton and put on over 30 gigs. These gigs started out with local bands/artists and eventually we went on to put on larger acts such as Merz, Andy Yorke and Frank Turner. In 2007 for one reason or another Marowak Records stopped promoting gigs and putting out releases. So thats a very brief history of the label - many more things could be said and maybe one day this page will grow again. Marowak Records is not finished. The label has not closed and it still exists.
